REIT reporting standards for sustainability

ESG Disclosure Training

REIT reporting standards for sustainability: GRI, GRESB, CDP

The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) is the world’s leading framework for sustainability or corporate social responsibility (CSR) reporting.

The GRI Standards are the first global standards for sustainability reporting. They feature a modular, interrelated structure, and represent the global best practice for reporting on a range of economic, environmental and social impacts. The GRI Standards are suitable for organizations of all sizes, from all sectors, featuring sector specific metrics that can flexibly be adapted to communicate performance in key sustainability areas.

The GRI Certified Standards Training will be designed to be a two-day training convening participants from the Construction/Real Estate/REITs. As a value-add, ISOS Group (GRI Certified Training Partner and our consultants) will be facilitating discussions and hands-on exercises as peer stakeholder engagement.

At the core, ISOS will demonstrate how efforts can align to meet the needs of other reporting platforms, such as CDP and GRESB. As with all ISOS-led trainings, guest presentations from advanced reporting firms, such as CBRE and Prologis will be worked in. You will learn how to use the new GRI Standards including how to manage the reporting process, assess an organization’s significant impacts, select report topics and performance measures, and follow best practices for developing top-quality sustainability reports. Following the Training, participants will walk away with a better understanding of how GRI, GRESB, and CDP relate to their specific organization, how it applies to daily business scenarios and how it can help with strategic planning.

The 2-day training is taught by working sustainability reporting professionals with in-depth knowledge of the GRI, GRESB, CDP, IIRC Integrated Reporting, DJSI, SASB Reporting Frameworks and decades of experience managing enterprise-level reporting projects across a variety of sectors. A blend of instruction, individual and group exercises, guest speakers and real-world examples keeps the course engaging and lively.
